Yooo this is inspiring! I can imagine this being expanded to a full song.

Four stars because, I mean, it's a good pizza, but I wanted sausage instead :c
...
Naw actually it's mostly because of the overpowered kick sub and makes it a bit exhausting to listen for a long time. I think shortening the teardrop's pitch decent to a 16th note would help, also maybe lowering its volume to match the bass volume. But the song is fantastic, nice choice in temperament with some cool rubs as you tour the chord progression. Great harmony and melodic snippets, reminiscent to me of Tycho for some reason, if Tycho were microtonal and 4-on-the-floor.

22EDO was the first contemporary temperament I heard, so this has that added layer of nostalgia for me, on top of the 2000s alt rock feel (I'm thinking something like "How to Save a Life" by The Fray). That quartal-quintal-ish harmony plus those narrow intervals in the melody (commas?) really get me, right in the feels. Simple and satisfying. Great work!

I'm late to the party! There's potent nostalgia in here. I love the swing feel changes with the mood/intensity. That middle section was full of great secondary dominants, chromatic motion, common tones, and overall smooth harmonic transitions. Combined with a crazy catchy melody, and I'm in the whirlwind of commotion, rides, and games, surrounded by the smell of stale popcorn.

Hey duuude, this is so catchy and groovy! Bouncy while elegant. I enjoy the choice and rhythm of percussion and guitar keeping time. My desire for smooth transitions leaves me wondering if both bass drum and crash cymbals was a bit heavy for 1:50 specifically, but it's a stylistic choice. I was surprised to hear solo cello to my left, which gives me the idea to do balcony/off-stage strings, but I digress. This is super solid and fun!

Everratic responds:

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the rhythms :)

I get what you mean about 1:50. I tried removing the bass drum and cymbal but it didn't feel right so I put it back in. It's a difficult transition to deal with.

Fantastic expressive performance, with a heavy melody driven emphasis to make it easily to follow along. Your piece itself is emotional, immersive, balanced in form, and enjoyable to listen!

Solacitude responds:

You make very nice music! I'm glad you found those qualities to this piece, coming from a fellow piano player it adds its own weight of meaningfulness. I like the way it came out, even without much polishing or complexity, it's less structured than if I'd have gone for a composition, but it's raw emotional output without afterthoughts, so it could hardly be more authentic! I was honestly very skeptical about how others would appreciate it. Your comment means a lot to me!
Thank you very much!

Solid classic jungle with a nice soft yet hard clipping sound and reverb fade out. I enjoyed!

Stellar track dude! I always appreciate a ring mod transition, and those supersaw arpeggios and melodies hit me in the feels! That kick and sidechain are pretty long for DnB, or maybe it's just the sidechain that makes the kick feel long? I'm just mentioning this because I absolutely dig this track, and the sidechain compression/LFO is just long enough for me to be distracted by it.

Siggator responds:

Thanks for the feedback! I don't personally hear the sidechain effect that much, but listening back on this I can tell that the mixing overall is a bit weak on this particular track. I think the drums should've overall been louder. You live and you learn though, hopefully future songs will be better !!!

Another CLASSIC track that feels so Newgrounds. The only way to increase disgust levels would be to add some bass slides. Smash, kick drum, SMASH!!

Simple and effective! Great use of layering multiple guitar tracks, both steel and nylon if I hear correctly.

Bosa responds:

You are correct!

I make musical things and enjoy listening to others. I'm open to collaborations and commissions for playing, composing, mixing, mastering, etc.
