i think the background does a lot of heavy lifting for the vibe. I put down pure white then airbrushed some light grey at the bottom for a little depth. then I used the digital noise brush (it basically just adds a bunch of squares of varying size) on the bg. the lighting and shading are both a light yellow, the only difference is I uses the add layer filter for the lighting and the shading uses the subtract layer filter. both lighting and shading layers have a lower overall opacity so they weren't too strong. Used the basic pen brush for them, for the strongest parts I used it at full opacity then put the pen to lower opacity and ran it along the existing shading. there's also some light white airbrushing along the edges of the robot to look like the white from the background is seeping in. Everything else is p much just my normal artstyle
